Would you date/marry a Vegan??? LOL

quess i could marry one but she would have to know how to cook a steak and since she wouldnt eat one it would just be that much more for me

Hey Kola , I don't know if she can eat fish, i would have to ask. I know she can't even eat chicken though. I'm with JB if for some reason I ever can't eat meat or seafood put me down!

I dunno if it is living if I couldn't eat a still mooing steak.. I know I would probably keep getting myself sick trying over and over again.. I could live with out ever eating seafood again, but not a steak.. goood gracious that would be awfull.

It's a tough deal for sure.

Years ago people( out West of course!!!!) would make fun of me not being able to eat steaks, etc...so STUPID me would eat a bit....enough to hush them up and then go off and barf it up!!

NEVERMORE!!! NEVERMORE!!!!

Maybe I would have to invet a real good steak flavored chewing gum

It's not the same. I butchered a bull once for hamburger and I got real tired of trying to cook a hamburger and think I was eating a steak. Tasted the same but it just wasn't the same.

I eat fruits and veggies, but I love beef. I'm a carnivor! (sp)

Last night we ate with friends. The wife has just recently become a vegan because her son is one. While the rest of us ate BBQd ribs (that were delicious and juicy :D ) she had a pitiful plate of rice and green beans.
Dessert was angelfood cake made with the whites of potential chickens.
For some reason potential chickens don't count  What nonsense.

I tried to be good and kept my mouth shut.

If she eats butter, milk, cheese and eggs she is probably a vegetarian instead of a vegan.. Actually, technically at least, if she eats any of those she is a vegetarian instead of a vegan..

Know what you mean JB, hard to imagine ground beef being "tough" but sometimes those older, leaner animals seem to be just that even when ground.. Don't mind a little "firmness" but sometimes it can be a bit much..

The cow doesn't have to die to give us cheese and milk, but it is different for the potential chick. Seems inconsistent.

If he was a vegan, he could be one, but he would have to put up with me and cows and steaks. If he couldn't handle that then no sense even dating the guy.

I could NEVER date a vegan!

My cowpuncher Daddy would roll over in his grave!

If a man's not wearing Wranglers & boots, doesn't smell like horses, and (God forbid!) if he won't eat beef.....he's way to "sissy" for me! LOL

Most eggs are not fertilized so there is no potential chick.. Now, if they were health food stores "fertilized" eggs than that would be a different story...

A lot of vegans are flat out against animal agriculture or benifiting from animals, hence the no leather, no dairy/eggs and no meat/fish.... Part of the no dairy/eggs is that the animals that produce the products will have to die eventually for people to eat the eggs, milk or cheese.. I find the whole thing a bit hypocritical personally, as the cotton field/hemp or whatever field they are wearing for fabric might have been treated with x amount of chemicals, the amount of critters killed during harvest and the rest of the stuff that goes on just makes it hard to be 100% consistant of not benifiting from animals lives being lost, Heck, if you were really hard core you would have to reject about every medical treatment there is.

I wouldn't marry one (were I be unfortunate as to have to marry again), but if all other meat supplies were exhausted, I might decide to eat one!
VEGANS BEWARE!

Be warned. I hear that they are very low in protien due to the intake of too much fiber.
MMM, hadn't thought about the quality aspect, may need to do some reasearch if things get desperate!

Is this person I'm to marry heavily life insured? Independently wealthy? Very, very old and in poor health? These are things I have to know before I can make that sort of decision! Oh, wait a minute..... I'm already married..... Solves that problem right there! :D :D

I worked with a vegan years ago and at a company bbq he had his tray of green and sat down at the long table,(and he begun his red meat rant) the next thing I hear is another fellow worker yell, "That is not food on your plate you silly bas__rd,that is what food eats"? :D ....So the the only really true good vegan is a well feed cow... :D ....

I think there is a place for veggies as a daily addition to a meal, but how can one not enjoy a perfectly bbq'd steak...or a juicy hamburger, meat falling off the bone ribs,or a slow cooked roast, shall i go on?.... :D

Oh one question, why did we let people get away with calling it vegetable chili......Chili is all about the meat ......I say we take back chili and tell the vegetarians to call it beans in tomato sauce...
