Last week the steers rubbed a gate down. We had steers in 2 countries(Not counties) :D one bunch in the neighbors freshly planted field and the big bunch heading down the highway in the wrong direction.
Yesterday we opened a gate for the steers to go to fresh grass and water off the pipeline and they can't find the gate. :roll:
 
How does that work? Jumping the border on horseback to chase renegade critters. Do the try to raise cane with you?
 
Had a similar situation over here, only it was horses that went to the USA, 9 border partrol agents showed up to allow only the owner with a passport to go and retrieve his animals..... lol kinda funny cause pre 9-11 one would just go and get your livestock back, and not involve Customs either way. Times ........... they are a changing.............. :D :D :D :D :D
 
Last year the American neighbor tripped the sensor on his way up to help. When border patrol got there he explained what was up and everything was OK. This year they were in plan sight and on the move so we just went and got them. The old boys that used to patrol the border always said"They didn't need papers to get down, so they don't need them to got home" :D

Heaven forbid they eat any CRP grass. :lol:

When it comes to moving yrlgs I've often wondered if a guy would be better off just loosening a wire or two near the gate and leave the gate closed :?

I've seen a few cows that lacked the necessary patience to use the gate at times . . . :?
