Wrestling is the most individual team sport there is......

gotta love sticking a kid!

good job, keep us posted

It's hard for me to get used to the fact that the Mitchell head coach graduated from high school a year ahead of me and the Ainsworth coach was a year behind me.. Really nice men but it seems to me we should all be on the same team still.... That's hard to get used too.........

so do you sit at meets with those two schools pining over loves lost???

Nope........ Just seems weird. Both men won state at their perspective weight class and even in twenty some years, to me their still the same.. Both class acts and I'm honored to know both of them......

You sure know how to keep me in suspense. I have been waitin for these pics. Way to go Carter, good job. And a congratulations to the Wrestlers Mom.

Congratulations to your son...nothing like a good wrestling match for excitement. My son wrestled when in high school and I spent many a match on the edge of the bleacher seat, twisting and turning and jumping up and down. Thanks for the pics-brought back a lot of memories.

Great job Carter, and Mom too!!!

In my mind wrestlers are probably the most diverse and have to have the most athletic ability of all sports competitors. They not only have to be strong, but they have be quick and "squirrelly" and smart too.

I am always amazed how they go from looking like they are pinned to pinning someone.

Katrina, is Carter wrestling at his natural weight or having to wrestle down a weight or two? That would be the hardest always trying to stay at weight, I think.

I look forward to more photos as the season progresses.

Cheers---

TTB

No he is dieting....He wrestles 135 and weighs about 155 give a pound or two... He has right at 5% body fat and that is the lowest he can go... He did flunk his dehydration test the first time. Dieting is something we do together.. We weigh in every morning... I have lost 35 pounds and we are the only family that packs a scale when we go to town to stay. We do low fat. Carter does a powdered protien with slimfast smoothie. He has maintained his weight at 35 for along time so he is vary strong. Through Christmas he gained 6 pounds and I gained 3. We are now back to our perspective weights..And he has practice everyday except sunday starting last thursday. We eat lots of fruit and vegtables. We have found that meat of any kind is hard to loose on... But I have to have it or I go nuts. I have to have my beef....
I am in the process of downloading the simifinals and finals at Gordon so hopefully I can get them posted today......
