I think he recruits just fine... we both know getting a kid to pick Manhattan over LSU or Florida is not easy..... but Snyder finds lumps of coal, and turns them into diamonds..... most coaches go looking for the diamonds... rather have a group of kids who are talented and wart to WORK for a spot on the team, than a bunch of cry baby 5 star recruits who expect to have their sot on the team just given to them...

:lol: Pretty much what it says. He is correct about Bo having a better place, and that wouldnt be because of geographic area which is same as Manhattan, that would be because of our history, and Kstate fans say history dont matter. Blah blah.

Back when home grown walk ons WERE the football team, I was proud of the Huskers, and college football in general, anymore, is our cons against your cons. I don't much like college ball anymore!
 
my opinion why that changed at NU......totally opinion, so relax and keep the KSU bashing to a minimum...


NU had a Big 8 Dynasty. with the exception of OU, and an occasional CU they had the easy road to the Orange Bowl, and a possible National Title.... but Dr Tom got to the bowl game, and the corn fed local boys were not fast enough. the game was changing. SPEED was king. NU had bigger horses, but not the total team speed.... So Tom went looking for that speed...he found it, and he got his National titles....but he walked away from that core element that, in my opinion, makes the Huskers what they were.

You're half right and half woefully uninformed. Bo has restored the walkon program and fully embraces it.
