I been chuckling all afternoon. I got to wondering if you made it into Walmart or Toys R Us for some stuffed lions to try out your theory that Angus are as smart as Tuli about calving at night.

Strange what ya get to thinking doing menial jobs. I was digging out four rows of bales completely covered with snow. :x

I do have 20 frozen coyote i don't have a market for if you wanted to try putting them on a stick to stand them up around the calving yard.

No, never made it into town today. Instead I was calving cows in 60 degree weather...my pairs were even shaded up this afternoon :D . Suppose to turn back into winter this weekend, so I'm enjoying this while I can!

I do think this idea merits a university study of some sort. Heck, between Leanin H, NR, and Gcreek's collections, we could stuff and display a regular wild kingdom around the night lot  .

I don't think I would want to pay their taxidermy bill. I don't even like paying the one around here. :-)

Maybe you could get a Government grant to do the study. Make ranching profitable until the money ran out. :D

You make me jealous talking 60 degree weather as I was digging bales out of the snow. Maybe next week. :-)

If you don't have a market....why are you keeping frozen dead dogs around?

Is it just a conservative Canadian ' thang' ?

Yeah, but then we could take the stinking carcasses and put them up by the interstate near the front gate, where all the people like to pull over and go to the bathroom. I'd say that would be a good deterent  . Dual purpose use, what an idea!

Talked to a lady years ago. They had killed a coyote and tied a rope to it and dragged it through the pairs.
She said those cows went completely bonkers chasing this dead coyote, head butting it, running over it.
Report was there was not much left.
Did ask her why she didn't video tape it.
