I wanted to encourage anyone in Wyoming to apply for the Wyoming LEAD program (leadership, education, and development). I just graduated from the latest class, and I can truly say this was the best program I've ever been a part of.

Over 18 months, you are exposed to agriculture issues affecting the state, local government, state government, national government, and international government. The time committment is big, but if there is any way possible to apply, I encourage you to do so.

The program involves traveling throughout our state, a trip to Washington DC, and an international trip.

Agriculture desperately needs people willing to get out and represent our industry well. Not only at a local level, but globaly as well. This program helps to launch leaders that will give ag a strong voice.

Please consider this program! It's the best thing I've done. Thanks!

my wife was in class 7, But most the guys in her group didn't get much out of it other then a big party. Bus Diver in Australia said those boys came along way just to drink beer.
My wife got alot out of the program ,I use her binder for info all the time.

Jodywy, I heard that about class 7. I guess you make it what you want it to be! I'm glad your wife got a lot out of it, and that you are able to use her materials. You should apply for the next class.

getting a little old for LEAD, already a VP of WSGA, county and state PAB, land trust, grazing association officer....

You're never too old for it! It looks like you're already involved with a lot of stuff, but I think someone like you participating in the program would only add to it.

Our class ranged in age from 25 to 50+, and we were very diversified in our professions and organizations we were individually involved in. I learned an incredible amount of information just from my classmates.

I probably haven't convinced you to apply :D , but it was worth a try!

I applied for class 2, didn't make it started to apply for class 4 and decided didn't have the time and didn't send in the application. Cindy sent me the app for class 7 and I looked at the schedule and made my wife apply.
Busy now trying to sell a ranch and buy another.
