That would be British Columbia boys, as opposed to very ancient . . . like Miocene, Gcreek, et al,

You getting much snow yet up there? Your temps are about right for it by the forecasts for your area. Just wondering if you've got winter yet. Silver is likely snowed in by now!?

Looks like kato and a few others out Manitoba way are getting a taste of it. Maybe Aaron too up there in the northern part of God's country. :?

We missed the dump that Kato and some of the others got (or were supposed to get) from that Colorado low. We were right on the southeast edge and got freezing rain instead. Kenora, 90 miles to the north, was supposed to get the snow, but looking at photos on the weather network, looks like all the Northwest got freezing rain.

Every back road is a skating rink. Haven't travelled more than a mile from the house the last 2 days, traveling on the grass shoulder to have some sort of traction at 20 miles an hour. Today we got a couple inches of snow.

But looks like it might warm a bit later this week and clear the roads. Either that, or I am gonna be b1tching for the municipality's grader/scarifier to come down the road.

Apparently this video of a local kid skating on the roads made the national news. So the roads actually are skating rinks.

We got 1/2 inch last night. 2 weeks ago we had 4 inches overnight but most of it went in the next following days. Morrison Meadow is 600 feet lower than the home place and was completely bare until now. Still lots of grass if doesn't get covered up.

Vanderhoof, about 150 miles north of here had a foot last I heard. Don't know if they've gotten more or not.

Silver's country is winter. My friend "Shepard" at Manning Ab. had 30 inches on the ground 10 days ago with water underneath.

You let some blood get back into your alcohol system and you'll do just fine up here.

Debbie's got some relations the can pick anything from their nose to their ar.. , most of them live in Oregon but they show up occasionally. BIL pretty hady with any stringed instrument. Local feller here should be in Nashville.

I'll keep the packrats trapped out of the barn. :D

We had over a foot here for a while. Melted down so now only maybe 6". Cows don't really appreciate their water source when it's crusty, but it's better than no snow at all.

well i preg tested last weekresults were good 7%CULLED ,cows are now back out on residual grass (hayfields &cutblocks)put tubs out today with minimal snow i,m good for 3 weeks.I even have 125 ton of hay for sale 50%of my expected surplus.last year i fed les than a 1000 4x5 round bales this year i have 1700+ :D only feeding rep H/C&bulls both sr.&jr wanna be's 1 bale /day.we have less than a inch at the deepest in shady spots.

Had about 18 to 20 inches of snow here near the end of Oct. Then had rain that knocked a bunch of that snow down. Snowed off and on and melted off and on since then. Maybe about 4 inches left on the ground now.
Would much rather be living on the east coast somewhere. I'm very tired of having 4 months spring, summer, fall and 8 months winter.

Shoulda said B.C. boys and girls!

Hey Jigger Boss, we don't even get quite that much winter back here in Ontario!

Hey J.B., did you know that Romney has a "cottage" back close to your old stompin grounds? Namely, Grand Bend? And they call it the "White House". No kidding!
