He looks pin-chested and fog-heaved to me. Not even good enough for bear bait.

How much you want for em'?

He aint mine, belongs to a neighbor that I think give way too much money for him, they caint do anything with him so he is down here, gonna see if I can take some of the buck outa him,he is a 3 year old out of Oklahoma, been looking at his papers,I dont reconize any of the names, but never was much on papered stock.
If he aint a outlaw,I might trade for him.
good luck

My hippie neighbors have a billy goat I could deal them out of, that and a couple of rez dogs should be a fair trade. :D

good luck

PS I was mistaken in my previous post the colt was 2 in april.

You must have a lot of luck :D . If it was my luck, the colt would've tangled himself in the halter and leadrope that's hanging from the fence :-) .

Thanks for posting, and I hope you come out ahead on your prospect. Keep us updated on his progress!

I held my tongue when I first saw this post for a few reasons..but after some time to think about him and seeing the second pic I hate to say it but I like him!....this is based on nothing but his looks.....I do not however like him as a western horse, I think he would look smashing in english tack. I also thing english would suite him a bit more from his body build. I would love to see a few more conformation shots of him tho. There is also something about his eye that makes me wonder about his personality! He looks like a thinker to me. Depending on what job he will have in life this could be good! I can't tell for sure but in last pic he looks a bit long in toe and short on heel. Other than that he looks like he would be a fun horse to ride "once he was broke" He looks to have clean legs of good bone and a nice over all build him, I would love to see him after 6 months of riding tho. I'm betting he will fill out some and really look less narrow.

I think it is his pasterns that are really sloped, makes his foot look longer.
I kinda like him too.

His ears are certainly back on his rider, tho.
Does that mean the rider is bothering him?

Wouldn't surprise me if the rider is bothering him.

He bothers everybody else.

I thought that too...hummmm

But if you look at the over all pic of him " the horse" his lips are tight, his ears are back but not pinned and his body frame looks stiff, so to me he is showing signs of confusion....hes listening to the rider, thinking about what hes being asked, and unsure of it all....a normal young horses response to learning the ropes "training"....or I could be way off base and hes just slowly getting pissed and thinking about seeing how hard it would be to get that thing off his back and into the dirt!...lol

:P From one old fart to another, Look at the bright side; Your not on your back lookin into the sun if this is truley his first saddelin.
His eyes and ears are where they should be,(eyes bright, and a good distance apart--ears on you, waitin for your directions) he,s got a good back. He,s a little low at the wither, that "A" fork, may not be the saddel, unless your a workin cowman. I judge you at 6 feet, him about 14-3 hands, not a bad match for pusshin cows.

Well, the gray horse is resting now, less a couple parts, hoping he will make a ranch horse now,get his mind off---------- and on ranch chores.
good luck

PS Thanks eveyone for your opinion.

I tell ya the more I look at him the more I like him.....if he comes up for sale after he is broke I would be interested in learning more about him. It's hard to tell to much from that pic just because of the angle he is standing at, but I like his hind end and his gaskin looks like it could be developed into a powerhouse, it has the beginnings of it already. I'm also not sure what you had been doing or were about to do in the pic but that horse has got an ear on you, an ear listening to whats around him and I'm betting hes watching you as well as what is in front of him....Again he is showing me that he is a thinker...and I love a thinker....I'm wondering how he will spook....To me a great deal can be learned about a horse based on how it reacts to something it finds scary.

I'll have to agree. I think that he's a perty nice colt. Depending on how he comes out on the riding end of things, I bet he could do much better than the plant in Mexico.:???:
