After our snow melted there is now water. Some cows on wrong side to get cake. Zeke brought them across. King the pup is learning.

Great pictures of a great cow dog! I'd have a couple if they had the know how Zeke has. :D

Thanks leanin'H, Zeke is coming along, especially the last couple of weeks since his sister Trixie has been out of commission and he has had to think for himself. They all have their better days, like people and yesterday was one of them, once I got him looking in the right direction.

FH, Thank you.

The copy method can save some training time as long as the younger one is copying the things you want.

With Zeke it is questionable at times. :-)

King is quite independent though and isn't picking up any bad habits from Zeke so far.

One thing I do think though is working dogs together to much as young dogs has a tendency to limit their potential compared to working them on their own all the time.

That being said though they do need to learn to work together and King is coming along and ending up where he is suppose to be more often as time goes. :-)

Well done Dylan, everyone feels better when things all come together.

You didn't take the last photo of them proud as punch and grinnin' like Cheshire cats.

Thanks gcreekrch. No question about that.

Once they crossed that bunch they went to gather the rest back to the south, I will try and catch that shot the for the next post.

Awesome job! :D

I laughed at your "Trixie is out of commission and Zeke has to think for himself" comment. My old female is in the same shape as Trixie right now, and I've been using the younger one alone. Oh boy, what a circus, but we're managing to get the job done... it's not pretty though! My older dog is definitely the brains between the two...or rather three of us .

WR, thank you. When Trixie and Zeke who are full sibs from the same litter,( came from Kevin Meyer at Douglas Wyoming) work together Trixie is definitely the leader, and Zeke the follower. Trixie is almost healed up and crazy to get back to work.

BMR, for sure there is some water around now. It is faaaantastic to see! :-)

That wet snow we got was so wet and heavy you could move it with a pitch fork!

Got about 8 inches of it.:D :D :D

I will post some photos of the water tomorrow.

Jassy, it is cool when it works, frustrating when it doesn't but very little that is good comes without challenges. I hope to post more photos shortly.

Thanks
