Was the feed actually contaminated with cement ? Or was the livestock being fed in cement feeders that were creating problems? My brother, guichoncreek had this book and I read it... I remember reading about cement in the feed....
Long time ago. Before Oscar.Did Oscar eat it?
Or won't Dave share?
Soapweed's book is a keeper as well! That's not the one I have, but likely has some similarities.
On the subject of books, I also ran across Tam's book on the Big Muddy Badlands when I found Ben's book, and had forgotten about it. She was very gracious to send me a copy, it's a very good read, and my wife enjoyed it as much as I did. I highly recommend her book if she still has any available for sale.
Ben Green Village horse doctor is good.Ben Green wrote a few books that are good to revisit every few years.......Horse trading and More Horse Trading and two or three others....Soapweed's book is good as well.......Pan Phillip wrote a very good book about going to BC and starting up a ranch............
I wrote this but, some time ago.......things are a little wierd here.......Ben Green wrote a few books that are good to revisit every few years.......Horse trading and More Horse Trading and two or three others....Soapweed's book is good as well.......Pan Phillip wrote a very good book about going to BC and starting up a ranch............
The book about Pan Phillips and Rich Hobson, Grass Beyond the Mountains, was Mr. FH favorite book. He read it in high school; then I had an opportunity to buy it in soft bound so I got it for him. He has all 3 of the books now. Grass Beyond the Mountains, Nothing too good for a cowboy and The Rancher takes a wife. Guichon Creek lives near that area and we visited there about 15 years ago (WOW, time flies!!) and so he got to experience some of that country. We always wanted to go back, but so far, that hasn't come to pass.I wrote this but, some time ago.......things are a little wierd here.......
Actually Rich Hobson wrote the books, not Pan PhillipsBen Green wrote a few books that are good to revisit every few years.......Horse trading and More Horse Trading and two or three others....Soapweed's book is good as well.......Pan Phillip wrote a very good book about going to BC and starting up a ranch............
I knew that, it slipped my mind. Thanks, Nicky. I changed my post so that it is correct.Actually Rich Hobson wrote the books, not Pan Phillips
