Old Dried up Fart of a Cowboy told me to go buy white salt blocks...brown and yellow....so I did...the brown is a trace mineral & salt...the yellow is a sulpher...I stopped the yellow cause sulpher can interfer with the absorbtion of of other minerals....I tried several loose mineral...and the...

Had a cow produce one like that last year...He didn't stay up long...but he would get up long enough to eat...& go back down...Vet said leave em alone by the time I wean him I won't be able to tell....for the most part he was right ...when I weaned him he would walk strait...BUT when he relaxed...

We also feed the 16/11 ...starting about October...this past year we started in August as the pastures were burned to a crisp...Our's also start out slurping alot...but then they will settle down ...When green up starts...they stop...this year we have had an early green up...I believe we have...

Whell...boys...this problem wasn't there till the foot rot...I never knew foot rot was a genetic thing...thought is was more of a lack of something in the diet, that would predispose em...No we don't keep gimmpy cows...or even if they have reoccurring issues with FR...She had it once...walked on...

She had a bit of foot rot in her right rear foot last year.... it had to be treated twice...so it was prolly sore for bout 30 days or so...She gimped along on the outside edge ....now the out side toe wants to grow long and curl across the other....and she sets on her heel...it is starting to...

Booger Red's Saloon and the H3 Ranch Steak House ...is a must @ the Stockyards...Leddy's across the street has some, to die for clothes..little pricey tho.. :p
