    I dont know... I think the cattle industry has started into the perfect storm. Prices are low for cattle and very high for feed grains. Its scary to even think about it.

    heck we can buy 55 lb bags of cleaned corn up here at the new TSC store for $5.89 a bag. We only add a few bags of it to the ground barley to add fat content.

    I would hate to guess what it costs guys around here to grow a crop of wheat. They pretty well all have high clearance sprayers and they spend the summer spraying the fields. By fall they have permanent tram lines in the crop. I ll stick to growing Barley, and Canola. No shortage of straw...

    Tim have you ever tried dandylion wine that the hutterites make. Heard it was wicked stuff... if your car runs outta gas dump a jug of that stuff in and its as good as rocket fuel..... :)

    OT- I ve heard the same as you but we have never had a problem with it and there are lots of chokecherriy trees in our pastures. IT might kill them if that is all they had to eat but I think when they have grass it wont hurt them. We havent lost any yet to them.

    Pairs up here arent bringing big bucks too bad you couldnt get them across the border cowboyup you could likely make quite a bit on them keeping htem for the summer and selling them in the fall.

    Go speedrite they are a bit cheaper than gallagher and work just as damn good or better. We have about 6 of them.
