    Canada .. incentive to test?

    I say to hell with what the Americans say or think and let's get on with testing slaughter cattle for BSE. That, combined with ID traceability puts us light years ahead of 99.9% of most Americans with consumer confidence. Oh, but I forgot they haven't had any cattle with BSE. Yet... :wink:

    Obviously the next step for Canada is to convince CFIA that we run our own country, do what we want, and start testing cattle for BSE so we can take over the markets that the USA can't export to. Japan for one comes to my mind. Shouldn't be a problem for a small packing industry like ours...

    :wink Darn right packing jobs are gonna go to Canada! When this industry gets tooled up with more capacity and we start testing every head for BSE (like Japan wants) with our national ID tag program that is in place and working (like Japan wants), I wonder who will be the ones playing catch up...
