I was listening to WNAX radio station today and I beleive I heard Soapweed. He had just won a key to try to start a new pickup. I thought it was him and then when he told about his wife doing all the work I knew it was :wink: Good luck! That salebarn is a lucky spot for the winning key.

We use Z tags . The tags last a long time but the Z tag ink fades, so we have cows with tags but no number. This year when we branded replacement heifers we used Y tex ink on Z tags. we will see :D if that does the trick.

The trouble with me is, with a digital camera, I end up taking about 20 pictures of the same thing and can't decide which one I like the best. Each one has just a little different expression on their face. I'm kinda camera happy - kids just give me an excuse to play.

How do you like your calving pen? We bought one just like it at the BHSS this winter. We really like it. My husband thinks it beats a lariat and a barn post. :)

Do any of you use a C&D Overeating Shot? If so, do you just give the C&D toxoid or do you just give a blackleg shot with C&D in it? I'm talking about calves that are a day or two old. I know most black leg shots are not labeled before one month of age, but I've heard of some people giving it...
