    Woke up to 51 degrees f in the house sat morning fell asleep before my evening boiler fill but at -30 51 felt pretty warm when i got inside. Our house is big and heats hard so 54 -55 is a normal morning here in january

    I'm noticing this with my bank now seams they want to micro manage. I just ignore them payments not due for 3 months and I haven't sold any calves not much to talk about in my opinion.

    I've got a load of dry distillers coming next week $115 a ton cheaper than alfalfa this year but it is just for tha calves. I have a couple hundred bales of pea and oat hay that should tide the protein over for the cows.

    We've got water on our place that flows all winter into the creek It's only a couple inches deep but I have only chopped ice about 10 days per winter as it freezes up another spot opens up.

    On the blending and packing part I bet the whole pile would spoil no way to get it packed decent. I'd just get it on a as needed basis may cost more money but spoilage will be minimal.

    I've got some at 50 cents per pair per day and the latest is a 60 head deal at a $1.00 but its 86 miles away from the corrals or 72 from the house.

    Traveling

    on 60 acres I'd throw a hot wire in on the deal that will slow them up on both sides of the fence. I have a friend who has roping cattle longhorns/ Corrientes they are hard on fence from what I've seen my temper couldn't tolerate those cattle.
