I have dial up and just started laughing because it takes awhile for the picture to download and I thought to myself I sure hope there is a picture coming or Mike is one brave man!
Sometimes if you are not right there to watch things the ole biddy will drop him on his head. If the necks bends back and the calf lays on it, they will suffocate in a matter of seconds. Sometimes it pays to be lucky.
Wyoming Rancher- did you notice a higher amount of opens or any other negative trade off? It seems too simple of a system to sync. the heifers without any bad things. Don't get me wrong the simplier and yet effective the system the better I like it.

I have been to a few bull sales this year and the lucky ones are those that sell all their bulls, no matter what the average was. A lot of producers are taking home a lot of their bulls or selling them at pound price. It doesn't even matter the breed.
Around here we are in a severe drought...
I was wondering about the results people were having with giving a shot of lutalyse and then turning the heifers in with the bulls. This would be without feeding mga. How many bulls do you need as opposed to natural breeding. Should you increase your bulls to heifers ratio. Also does it...
Did anyone go to the sale on Saturday? IF so, how did it go. They have great bulls from top to bottom but can get pretty spendy for the average cowman. I bought a couple last year for the first time and really, really like them!
xylacine? Is that the same stuff as promace? We have used promace before with mixed results. Sometimes they come out of it and take the calf and others I think just get addicted to the drug and never do claim the calf. Ha
