There-in lies the problem, azcowpuncher. I have alot of ropes but I don't seem to have any catch ropes! I think they must be miss ropes instead.

    Saddles... (pics)

Rawhider, Your bits hanging on the wall almost have a "Garcia" look about them. From the looks of things you must twist some horse hair as well. How do you get your stirrups and fenders to hang so far forward on those wade trees? Most saddle makers struggle to accomplish this while putting in...

    Saddles... (pics)

Rawhider; From the looks of things you are a very talented person and do excellent work. Where do you get your trees made? How long is your rawhide reata? You must have or have access to a trip hammer, what kind of iron are you using when you start making your damascus steel. A friend of mine...

more pic's "a horse this time"

I have a couple of different styles of rawhide hondas, one has a longer neck and is a little larger. Makes it pretty difficult when branding calves, works better on bigger cattle. I've got one that looks sort of like the one Jerry has tied, on, but a bit smaller. Works alot better for calves.

Jerry H; Thats nice colt, looks like you have done a great job on him as well. Do you braid your own rawhide? I see that one rope you are using has a rawhide honda. How do you like it compared to the rope with the plastic burner?

    Pup????

IL Rancher; Maybe you could enlighten us as to how big terriers should act? You seem to be some what of an expert. Of course your expertise is based on the poor examples that your mothers dogs apparently were.

Do you train any outside dogs? If so what kind of time frame are we looking at to accomplish the above? The dog I have in mind is 14-15 mos. old Border Collie.

    Pup????

An Airedale will do any of the above, plus make unwanted visitors think twice about poking around. Definitely my dog of choice on this ranch.

Horse Barn Suggestions and experience please

Personally I like a roof with more eave to it. In the building pictured your roof basically ends at the wall. Any amount of snow will end up against the side of your barn.

What's the best cure for saddle sores?

Faster Horses; You probably have never used slack lime on a horse that had an open wound either, that was hard to heal.

What's the best cure for saddle sores?

You ladies won't care for this, but I'll make a solution out of salt and purex to toughen a sore spot so you can keep using the horse. I've got a big sorrel gelding with a white spot caused by roping a 4 yr. old bull and having to hold him until we could get him tied down. The spot doesn't...
