I have a couple of different styles of rawhide hondas, one has a longer neck and is a little larger. Makes it pretty difficult when branding calves, works better on bigger cattle. I've got one that looks sort of like the one Jerry has tied, on, but a bit smaller. Works alot better for calves.

An Airedale will do any of the above, plus make unwanted visitors think twice about poking around. Definitely my dog of choice on this ranch.

Personally I like a roof with more eave to it. In the building pictured your roof basically ends at the wall. Any amount of snow will end up against the side of your barn.

Ron- Are you using the English Shepherd or the Australian Sheperd to make the cross? I am not sure what to make of the English Shepherd, when it comes to working livestock. rross
