1st day of Leachman animal abuse trial

Help Support Ranchers.net:

I've been hesitant to post on this thread, because I don't know anything that has occurred and so have no comment about the initial subject matter.

As far as public officials, DA's, Judges, etc.. They are people and have influences.

Google defense attorney with prosecution experience. It is amazing at the number of defense attorney's that are proud of the fact that they have prosecution experience, and it is that experience that will get you off. So it is very apparent that they weren't prosecuting individuals for their love of the law. It was for gain. If they can make a name for themselves, they move up the ladder. If not, you move to the other side and work the system.

Same for law enforcement. If officers have no incentive to catch criminals, like anyone else, they won't perform. Give then incentive, and there is influence in their judgement. It's a catch 22 and only a perfect person can make the right decision every time. That person doesn't exist.

It is good that the decision of guilt does not reside with any of the officials involved. The decision is ultimately left to 12 peers for a reason.
