Client wants ties across the face and green round poles in 2 separate boxes on each side of the entrance. It's gonna be pretty nice when it's done.

I have built several horse fences and I used woven wire fencing to keep large dogs out, but always put the wire on the inside along with 3 pole rails. While horses are not as likely as sheep to lean on the fence, they may and it takes just one time to have a saggy leaning fence. Putting the wire on the inside, gives the fence a lot more strength and makes staples being pushed out impossible.I told em' that. They put the barb wire on themselves. It's their fence so I won't argue with em. They shouldn't be using wire anyway cuz they're putting only horses in here. It's up to them.![]()
I don't think I've even seen the wire on the outside of a fence along the highway. Not to be critical, just an observation, but that woven wire needs to be a lot tighter.
Like, pop those old post out of the ground, turn em over, and get another 20 yrs out of em.Experience is the main thing I'm looking for right now. Tools of the trade. I will definitely tell them.A lot of the people around here are using old things they have lying around to finish jobs. Makes for some interesting results sometimes.
It's hard to see but the wire is on the inside. And he wants facade fence on the outside were the ties are.I don't think I've even seen the wire on the outside of a fence along the highway.
Maybe I'm wrong. We always put the wire and posts on the inside where the pressure is.
Better directions. Go north on I-5 from where ever you are to Weed CA. Turn on to Hwy 97 and follow it north. By Remond OR turn east on Hyw 26. Continue past John Day and Prairie City. At Austin Junction take a left on to Hwy 7. Take that to Baker City. There you are pretty close to my neighborhood. The first guy whose number I gave you doesn't live too far from Baker. Here's directions to get you close to Webfoot and Older Whiskey's country. Head north till you cross the border,
(California - Oregon), then drift in a north easterly direction.![]()
