What a way for 2010 to end !!!
Yesterdays 35 degree temps and 50 mph winds put such a crust on the foot or more snow (besides blowing some pretty hard drifts) that feeding in the hay meadows is about done except with a 4X4 tractor..
And now they are predicting another foot to foot and half of snow in some areas on top of that (over 2 feet for the higher elevations)-- and temps for Thursday and New Years Eve to range down in the 20-25 Below range...
All I want for the New Year is some nice weather...

* MAIN IMPACT: HEAVY SNOW...WITH 7 TO 14 INCHES OF ACCUMULATION...IS
POSSIBLE.
* TIMING: SNOW SHOULD BEGIN LATE WEDNESDAY MORNING...CONTINUE
WEDNESDAY NIGHT...AND BEGIN TO TAPER OFF LATE THURSDAY MORNING.
* OTHER IMPACTS: STRONG NORTHERLY WINDS OF 20 TO 30 GUSTING TO 40
MILES PER HOUR ARE POSSIBLE WITH THIS STORM. THIS COULD RESULT
IN BLOWING SNOW WITH REDUCED VISIBILITY TO LESS THAN A HALF A
MILE AT TIMES. WINDS CHILLS COULD REACH 20 TO 35 BELOW WEDNESDAY
NIGHT AND THURSDAY MORNING...MAINLY NORTH OF THE MISSOURI RIVER.
