Congrats to the kids. :D

I been to many sales at Mankota Stockman's Weigh Company.
A group of rancher built that yard back in the fifties. Many improvements over the years including closing in the sale ring. It could get chilly buying cattle some falls my Dad tells me. Dad had been to a sale every year and usually all the sales for fifty years. I still try to get him over for at least one each fall. :-)

Brings back memories. :D :D :D

Our sons are all grown up, but I still get that feeling this time of year that I should be outside in the evening helping kids train or groom or bath steers. We sure had some adventures over the years, and lots of fun too. I always thought that the day your kid takes the brush out of your hand, and tells you that you're not doing it right, then you've done your job.

Of course, for some reason, when it came to washing bums, that never seemed to happen. I wonder why?

In my opinion, 4H is the absolute best organization there is. 8)

Great looking kids, I know you're very proud of them. I was wondering if the 4H folks there have a summer camp for kids. Here in TN they do. It is one of my fondest memories, attending 4H camp when I was in the 4th grade.

How are you feeling? Who was your judge-he looks alot like an old buddy of mine Dan Howell.

I'm feeling good. Pretty much like normal.

The judge was a younger guy by the name of Craig Loganbush. He was really good, gave reasons for everything he did, helped the kids out and gave them tips. I was really impressed!

There are a few 4H summer camps, mostly they revolve around the horse project though, at least the ones I have heard of.
