5 days of Chinook

Remember the Checking the Cows thread? This is the same field and cows with 5 days of warm Chinook winds.

Cows coming to see what I am up to.

Check out the west slope, this was almost impassible with snow 5 days ago.

Plenty of grass to make it to the Tuesday move.

Even on the flat the sun is starting to make headway. This little start is enough for the cow to get her bite and the sun to warm up the grass and melt the snow.

Your hot air never makes it up this far Per - still not complaining it was only -11C this morning and made it up to -3C. The cattle were just loving it, skipping about and carrying on. Like us I think they are just happy to be through a tough spell.

I would love to share my "hot air" (other than on here) with you and Big Muddy, Grassfarmer. It is certainly cooler at the farm where the cows are going to end up although still pretty nice. Yes the cows are as happy as we are about the new trend.

I was thinking this morning as we prosessed a group of weaned calves about all you folks up north. The Catron bottles kept freezing up on us but, I couldn't complain after seeing the temps all of you have been having. It was 19 Deg. this morning. Cold for us, Kinda warm for you!

It was warmer here this morning than Jersey Lilly's, RobinFarm andRanch's and your place. :shock: Now that we've let you have the cold you can keep it.

The over night lows have been warmer in maine than most of the south for most of the week
