A monitoring shot of a native pasture

A neighbour called the other day about some cows out. That is nearly always a good call when you get to do this.

A mid/late May heifer calf from a third calver and our "In Focus" grandson taken a couple of weeks ago when we pulled the Angus bulls.

Nice pics Sean. Getting some frosty mornings there? Native looks really good. Thick thatch and ready to carry the girls through the winter.

Thanks Darcy. Might make you homesick. We already pulled a full AUM off that pasture and are on to better things. Should be on grass to January sometime, barring a winter like last one.

Is that LandEKG monitoring?
rem_243 - It is. We started on the program this summer and we still have some transects and photopoints to setup across our other ranch in SK. We have been looking for a long time to find something that fit what we were looking to measure beyond AUGD and a good way to store it. Land EKG has been a pretty good fit, and it is actually really fast once you have the initial setups done.
We do lots of monitoring with lots of groups, but this works really well. I use my production hoop all over the place now and the data is pretty useful.
