The standing room only gathering yesterday in Meadow Lake in honor, remembrance and celebration of Cory was a demonstration of many things. The standing room only crowd made up of friends and family from the local community representing 4H, rodeo, hockey, hunters, cattlemen, farmers, neighbors, teens and seniors attested to Cory's nature as a people person. A person who loved to joke and tease and socialize.... with anybody and everybody. The 4H honor guard yesterday attests to Cory's generous nature and his willingness to volunteer his time, interest and enthusiasm to causes he felt close to his heart. Cory would have and should have been proud of the depth of emotion, compassion and love for him and his family that the community displayed yesterday. The ceremony, individual speakers and performers were very sincere, personal and touching in the words ,stories, and music they shared. Cory lived his life in a way that obviously made a difference in the lives of those he touched. An authentic one of a kind, we should all be so fortunate.
Thank you to everyone who made yesterday possible.
Shauna, Megan, Ty, Sarah and Emily my deepest condolences.

A sunrise of many shades, clouded yet bright, a prelude to the emotional lows and highs of the day that unfolded.

final road
tears and laughs flowed freely
crushing blow of a final good bye
grieving, cherishing, squeezing
memories that can't be taken
enthusiasm
wit
side splitting laughter
one of the fortunate
who knew
a loving family
a good horse
the content cow
a loyal dog
love of nature
thrill of the hunt
exhilaration of an 8 second ride
a game winning goal
shared with friends
and loved ones
alike
a more proud father
unlikely
a more missed uncle
doubtful
a gaping hole
surely
an over flowing day
definitely
a day and person
not to be forgotten
guaranteed!!
so long friend
