A guy goes to the U.S. Post Office to apply for a job.

Someone told me this one the other day:

Why do they call them politicians?

Because: poli (poly) stands for "much, many or more than one".

Tics (ticks) are "wingless, blood-sucking mites, including many species that transmit diseases and are usually parasitic on humans, cattle, sheep, etc." (Websters Dictionary)

Seems to fit, doesn't it?
