A little about my operation

I just read Howie Meeker's life story-if any of you Leaf's faithful want to read some Leaf's history of the glory days-pm your addy and I'll pass it on. I miss Gilmour and Clark, Sittler and McDonald just can't get going over Grabowski and Kaberle lol.

We went through your area in Augus of 2005. Would like to know more about farming operations there. Have a few pictures I took of harvesting cotton. Seemed there was mostly cotton and rice. would be interested in when different crops are planted and when they are harvested. Looks like corn there might be harvested about the time corn here is in the tassle and silk stage.

Oh so you went to Don Cherry's school?

In the history of the Stanley cup there has only been one team win with a European captain-I'll rest my case-you have to admit Grabowski and Kaberle don't hold a candle to the 4 I mentioned. We've got to quit hijacking this thread. Jed see how hard it is to ranch in Canada when you have hockey clouding your senses-I imagine the Razorbacks preoccupy you from time to time.

When Frank was there? They're about 60 or 70 miles from me. I guess you heard that Jack Shewmaker died.

yes Frank was there, he and Christy had just gotten married, I hadn't heard about Jack, they had the nicest house and trout ponds. I really liked Ark., we made some really good friends while we were there..
sorry for the hijack jed!
That's what's so good about these things, you never know where they will go.

The big crops are cotton, rice, soybeans an corn. Wheat is big this year because of price but most years not much of it. Milo is another but not alot of it either. We can plant corn in march but I like April better, have roasting ears by july 4 an harvest in aug. an sept. Cotton is planted in April an may, harvest is in sept an oct. Soybeans planted march through June but April an may is best.
