The south wind is howling here, and the powdery snow is aflying. Got cows and calves bedded this morning, so I found a small portion of time to share the happenings of Minnesota. Here are a few pictures of the last blizzard we had on the 11th and 12th of this month.

Standing on a snow bank looking across the road. We had a bunch of rain the night before and the road was a skating rink.

Looking West down our road...looks a tad impassible.

Looking East. We get really boxed in when the snow blows...

The End. Happy New Year to everyone from Minnesota!

I know the feeling Farm Girl-- been looking like that here....
Today we have 35 degree temps- and 35+ mph Chinook winds kicking
up the snow a little...But the warmth is just a teaser- as they are predicting
6-12 inches of new snow in a mid week storm- and temps dropping
down to 15-20 Below for Thursday and New Years Eve...

And they say the storm could be even worse east of us thru the Dakotas...

Hope you have a Happy and warm New Year...

I would love to have that snow even if it came in snow drifts!! Its been way to dry in my country in fact we have not had any kind of snow/rain here since Aug. 21!! We did have a little skiff of snow but all it did was make the top of the ground wet. We need snow bad but we do have a chance Thursday but its only a 40% chance.

that's about what it looked like in that country this morning, minus the drifts . cold over in that neck of the woods. pert near a white-out until we got west of Watertown. sunny and almost 40 when got home this evening. :D

Northern Rancher- We planned it so that hopefully the weather looks better in the middle of February... So we are praying that things straighten out by then...
