Nicky got hurt pretty badly when helping a calf nurse.... She has stiches in her head and one hell of a black eye... Her eye is okay. She doesn't know if it was the palpation cage or the bar behind the cow that hit her.... Please send her prayers to get well and everyone be very carefull....

Another Hereford breeder who's opinion on Angus has just been solidified.
They will get your attention if you aren't listening.

Get healed up soon Nicky, that sonds like a nasty one. :(
 
I seen she posted her picture on FB and asked what happened, but she never replied back. Hope you're doing better Nicky. It sure did look nasty.

Northern and I usually solve the worlds problems on face book at least once or twice a week. too bad the government can't be that quick. :wink:

I saw the pictures Nicky hope you are getting better and will chat with you sometime.

Sorry to hear of your troubles, Nicky. Sending a prayer for your quick recovery. We have a mean nasty old cow in a box stall right now that is going to be a bit of a challenge to get out of the barn. She seemed gentle as a kitten when we got her in, but she turned into a cougar. :? :roll:

Opening the gate is going to be the hard part. Two panels are latched together, and there is kind of a secret formula to undoing them. I put her in, and should have just tied it with a rope like we usually do. Live and learn, I reckon. :wink:
