Figured if I was lurking I should go ahead and join up.

Not much to tell. We raise Foundation bred Quarterhorses and lean heavily on the Hancock/Peter McCue bloodline. I look after several places down in the Brush Country fo absentee owners and do some daywork locally.Z

Greetings from BC Pops :) You love the gang, we are a whacky bunch. But if you ever need help or a serious answer everyone is willing to lend a hand. Feel free to post photos etc :) MAKE SURE YOU WEAR FLAME RETARDENT CLOTHING :!: :!: When entering the bull session and political bull. People have strong opinions here and things can get ugly quick.

Well if y'all insist. hehhehheh

Now there's some fine lookin', usin' kind of horses. I'd like to see more...

You're not far from the source. Tommy is by Roanys Tomcat by High Rolling Roany. He comes from Lynn Taylor at Shepherd Mt just east of Billings. Timberhawk is by Hancocks Blueboy from John Whipps at Lander Wy. and wears the Broken Bone brand.

Most of our mares came off of Ted Binion's Ranch in Nevada.Z

Nice horses Z but do you have any of the more highly evolved animals ? Some that taste good ? Cattle maybe? Welcome aboard. Glad to have you.

Well... I look after three places in the Brush country for absentee owners that have a few cows on them.

You have your choice.

#1 Red baldy (herefordxred Brangus) cows with Black Bulls,

#2 Ditto

#3Ditto

And yea... I'm the one who sold the owners on the choice.Z

Sounds like a good choice . You have any prolapse troubles much out of the redbrangus/herfs? Black bulls are angus or something different? Hard to beat a 3 way cross for pounding out the beef.

One prolapse out of 500+ cows in seven years. Second calf cow and I don't know what happened or why. Calf was dead. Five pounds of sugar and I stuffed her back together and hauled to L&H in San Antonio and put her on the rail.

The bulls are Commercial Angus. I won't swear they are purebred but they cover the country and get the job done.Z

I'd like to see some of those pics, too. We run black brangus bulls on hereford cows. Some of those black bulls are red carriers and will throw both red & black baldies. I'm kind of partial to the reds, myself.
