His name is Frankie Blue Eyes. :-)

I dunno JB.. I kind of like Paints but the blue eyes have always been a bit creepy to me.. Have someone trying to push a blue eyed Overo Bay mare on me right now.. nice put together horse but whatever.... Sometimes by stepping outside your preferences in life you can get a deal that you can definitly live with... Of course, sometimes you can get a deal you could have lived without as well...

Overall a nice looking colt. Only thing I don't like is all that white on the head. Had one just like that and she really got sunburned around the mouth and nose.

I really like him,I believe I've said that before ,real cute story, like the way you guys try teachin the boys a lesson

Frankie can come stand in my barn anytime, JB. If you want to go on home without him, that would be fine too! :D :D He is a good looking horse, even if he does have two blue eyes.

I don't like blue eyes and especially two blue eyes.
Haven't read the story yet, but I'll tell ya, Jinglebob,
that horses' saving grace is that GREAT COON TAIL.

I've never seen a bad horse with a coon tail. They are really
good horses. FWIW!!!

Not many around and just watch how many you see at the NFR.
I'll take a coon tail anyday.

Your right about putting some work into him and then someone willing to pay for him. ggeessshhh I am sure there are a few willing to pay now.
He is BEAUTIFUL. :D

To answer your question

Nope I don't like paints but I'm not one for any chrome to speak of plain sorrel is just fine with me.

I grew up with a genetic aversion to paints and appaloosa--- genetic in that my entire family of quarter horse raisin', training, cutting and ranching uncles and dad gave them a major thumbs down --
All jokes were about paints and apps and most the time, the horses lived up to the jokes.

There have been some real genetic improvements the color line --someone got smart and bred some good QH blood into color and at some point, things turned --

There are parts of the country around here that'll still get you razzed out of the brandin' pen if you show on a paint -- and some that show up just to show ya they can :)

I've still not ever owned either -- but don't have any particular aversion --
well okay, probably won't own an app in my lifetime.

But like most things in life, I've learned...pretty is as pretty does :)

When I was growing up, lots of kids rode pinto horses. They weren't papered, but good kids horses. Then everyone went solid color, and life was boring. I love paint horses, but the day I bought an app everyone would know I was completely insane and ready for a padded room!

To be registered a Paint has to either have Quarter horse or TB breeding. I always giggle when Quarter horse lovers complain about Paints being a bad ride or whatever, anyone who looks at Paint papers see the quarter horse or TB breeding in them.Paints are a breed NOT a colour like pintos are :)

NOt to mention all those Breeding stock paints out there that don't have a speck of white on them or maybe just a mark on their face.. I ride a bay everyonce in a while that is a breeding stock Paint (Gelding mind you but for registration sake) without a speck of white on him.. Smooth riding horse but a bit slighter built than I would like..

Ya that was allowed a few years ago...Greg and I both voted against it...we felt a Paint needed the colour but so many were breeding and getting solids so they had a huge voice obviously and got the breeding stock thing passed :?

While I never mock paints, I sure used to give the gears to appy's. Then the worst thing ever happened to me. I broke a monster of an appy, stood a good 16.2. ( His name was Marc Anthony...LOL) Best ride ever, never spooked, never bucked and had the best gaits of any critter I have ever been on  It was horrible to have to eat crow about appy's being stubborn, choppy gaited creatures..... Ihave learned a lesson or two about mocking in my day. Now I use that gift strickly on people :)

kinda hard to knock paints after lookin at these..............

I dunno know Mrs. Greg.. It kind of makes sense to me ( ACtually having registries based oncolors, color patterns or whatever seems a bit odd to me but whatever).. Basically trying to get a bit more money by registering the Breeding stck paints instead of just selling them as grade horses.... I don't mind paints.. If you had asked me 3 years ago what tyoe of horse I would have wanted I would have said a Paint.... Probably get a different answer from me now after I told you color/pattern doesn't really matte as long as I like the horse.....

the blue eyes. bald face still gives me a mild case of the willies...
