Today I had a client TOTALLY lose it on me over a med change ordered by a Dr. Messed up my whole day, came out of her room thing "Gosh I NEED a holiday"Anyone else ready for a holiday, and what and where do you go in the summer?I realize most are just day trips but please share!!
We pull our trailer down to our river pasture, and make it down there as often as possible.Canoe and float the river...LOVE it,no phones :D

Yes I'm ready but don't think it will be happening :???: After all I can't even seem to get to the computer!
We had hoped to go to Montana. I have lots of relatives there, wanted to visit some Herford ranches, and hopefully some Ranchers.net folks. But...it would have to happen this month cause then there's haying, fire danger, and hunting season. Maybe he can take some time out of hunting season :P

I will be leaving montana for a few weeks or so to visit colleges and family in the northwest...gonna hit spokane, vancouver/portland/camas areas and maybe even seattle!! the 10 year old wants to visit mt st helens!!! The kids have never seen the ocean and I have family i have not seen in half a decade!!! Plan on leaving first week of July and have to be back to work on the 20th....with a few things currently going on in my life right now, I really need the break!!! Hope the rest of you, however, are having the start of a really great weekend!!

We took a 17 hour drive down to Texas to see and buy some cattle, the first time in over 20 years that we have been away overnight (2 nights actually) any change is as good as a holiday!

We also do alot of one day Rodeos in the summer,Ponoka is a great rodeo, and Bruce is a good old fashioned outdoor rodeo!More day trip things then week long holidays>

I am going to Las Vegas in a week.Cows are on grass, corn is planted, will be done A.I.ing next friday,Have a trailer in the shop that has to be done on tuesday plus seed 30 acres of Alfalfa next week. After all that I am going to live out a Toby Kieth song.

"Gonna Get Drunk and be Somebody"

I was ready for a holiday a looonngg time ago, round about calving season! But I don't see one anywhere in the near future. We're still trying to wrap up seeding, and it's already time to spray, and in a couple of weeks, haying. Sucks having cows and grain!

I just got back from one, too. A weeked in Bismarck, ND probably doesn't sound too exciting, but it was nice to get away and see old friends. :)

Over the 4th we're going to have a five day vacation. We haven't had a vacation that long since our honeymoon!

I'll be heading to " ya'lls" part of the world in Aug for a couple of wks.

In fact I'll get to meet one or 2 folks from this site. That'll be neat!

I guess this upcoming week of Fair is gonna be our "vacation" this year, LOL Mr Lilly took off vacation time from work for it. Other than Fair, and District Competitions, don't look like we'll be takin any "vacation" for real this year, but hey, what could be more fun than spendin time with your kids doin what they love?

One thing about guys;

THEY ALL THINK ALIKE! :lol2: :lol2: :P

   :kid: No matter how old we get you can still call us COW "BOYS"

We make small plans for fun and typically cancel them.

Something comes up, some kid is sick, guilt of not working hits dh, we decide to buy something for ranching with the money, or we just plain don't have the energy to follow through. :?

We did go to N.Mexico 3 years ago. We were gone 4 whole days.

I wouldn't trade it. Our kids are small and there will be time... right??

We have no little kids and we run out of energy too.

We do plan to take our grandson fishing in the Big Horn
mountains above Buffalo, Wyoming this summer. We have relatives and friends that have private ground up there so we should be able to escape
the people somewhat.

Mr. FH says it sure is different than when he grew up. You could
go up there and never run into a soul. Back then, you could even drink
the water in the creek without worry.

Had a mini-holiday,left Yesterday afternoon, went and seen Goerge Strait,Tracy Lawrence and Miranda Lambert...they were awesome. Tracy Lawrence now has a new fan,he was really great and came out wearing an Oilers Jersey, fans LOVED that.Spent the night, and went with, son, D-I-L and granson to West Edmonton mall :? HUGE mall,Skating rink,Waterpark, theme park, seal lions..LOTS of stores and TWO MILLION people  Anyway all in all it was nice to get away!Greg oppted to stay home, lol not a Cityboy at all!!
