DEAR LORD!!!! ive got a 09 3500 and i only paid 33000 for mine.
Pig Farmer- the 2010 are nice. I love the big rig look they got. they still have the same 6.7 L cummins in them. wait a few months and get the dpf and egr deletes and watch that motor come to life.
gcreekrch said:They are good trucks Cedarcreek. Our feed dealer has had one with a Mercedes engine for 10 years with virtually no major problems, last he told me it was nearing 500,000 Km (300,000) miles.
It doesn't make a person want to buy one if they are only guaranteeing parts and service for 7 years.
RobinFarmandRanch said:my 95 cummins has 520000 miles on it. original motor with a little work done and its 3rd tranny.
my 09 has 20K miles on it and i love it.
Hay Maker- you could get about 26K bucks for that truck if you sold it. i had an 07.5 2500 and got the stealership to give me 27K for it.
Silver said:I believe I will keep hunting premium used 7.3L Fords. You can find some really nice, clean, low milers for under $17,000, and thats about the best motor ever put in a pickup. The one I've got is at almost 200,000Kms (120,000 miles) and it is just feeling broke in. I'd like to think with reasonable maintainace I should get another 250,000 kms pretty easy.
Im not about to spend the kind of money it takes to land a new one just to cart my butt around. If my truck earned a paycheck I would consider it, but not until then. Especially considering the mileage they get.
Buying a new vehicle is the worst thing a person can do with their money. I wonder how many people would put 50K on the stock market knowing it would lose 15% the first day?
There, I've had my rant
