Aubracs

That's classified. 8)

Yeah, yeah, I'm thinking of trying lots of things........ all the time. My wife has started revising our floorplans for our new house to incorporate a room for me to hash my little plans and ideas where the rest of the family can't hear me. It's 4x8 with a cot, a wash basin and a coffee can. She tells me it's my "study", but it seems a little small to me.

Allen Nation said the best steak he ever had was from a 12 year old grassfed Aubrac cow in France. I think they usually advertise in Stockman.

Here's a link-there is a breeder in Alberta that contacted me-maybe we need to do a road trip to check them out. My darn old Frasert bull is trying to breed every cow on the place right now-crossing the grid road whenever he smells a cow in heat.

Oh yeah, horns, I forgot. That was one big reason I didn't buy any semen to try. It's been a long time since I touched an iron, I really don't want to go back to it.

Yeah I sure don't like the udders I saw-might be an ok terminal cross-I still am partial to baldies. Next year I'll be using an 'A' angus bull and a 'D' red angus lol.

"D" Red Angus bull?????? That just sounds bad anyway you say it. What's goin' on?

I saw some pics of Aubrac cows on other sites that were real peaches. That's one thing about Tarentaise - every female I've ever seen have picture perfect udders and feet.
