Baby Name Search

My wife's cousin has a boy named Kamin. When they visit and leave, I always say, "Kamin went." :-)

A banker that worked in our town quite a few years ago was formally named Teddy Bare. His mother must have had a sense of humor. He had three daughters, but if he'd had a son, I thought the boy could be named Paul Bare. He'd have been a natural to attend funerals.

An old mountain mule packer was named Joe Back. A good name for his daughter would have been Helen.

And then for Native Americans, it's hard to beat the name Luke Warm Water.

Oldtimer - the wife's middle name is Lynn, because her Mom's maiden name was Lynn. So it works well, and my Mom's name is Lori, and I also have a cousin named Lorraine, so Lorena Lynn is probably my pick for a girl.

If we have a boy, the wife wants JW for a couple reasons. She likes the sound of it, and she had wanted to name a boy after me, but I said no. So, all my buddies have called me John Wayne since we were kids, so naming one John Wayne ________, or JW, is the next best thing in her mind.

The John Wayne is fine as long as your last name is not Bobbit.

John Wayne-- JW-- sounds good to me.... My son came by his thru relatives too-- besides his Grandpa being JC- I rodeoed with a fellow named JC Bonine and always liked the name- and his other Grandpa was Carl and one of his great grandpas was John-- so he ended up John Carl-- JC....But most of his buddy's goodnaturedly call him "Little Johnny" (6'2"- and about 280-- when he was hitting the weights harder and playing football in college he was a trim 250 lb Linebacker).....

My nephew had a girlfriend whos name was Keltie,I thought that was such a pretty name.

My grandson is a fifth generation Karl{his middle name}and my daughter is after my mom Anne{middle name} I think its important to keep the generations alive with names,my opinion :)

Funny someone like Haymaker didn't use that for his Ranchers handle. :D

I like the JW....

could be short for Jigs Was-here !!!! ask your wife how that one sounds !!!

good luck, hope all goes well, the last month of pregnancy, and first month of a new baby was the toughest on me....

The first boy was the toughest because she went through 31 hours of labour before the Doc finally said the head was too big, way too big, and we had to go to an emergency c-section. That was tough on her because she was so drained by the time we went to the ER, it took her a while to recover. #2 was a planned c-section, so it was alot nicer. Packed our bag, went to the hospital, checked into our room and went straight down the hall to have our boy.

This time will be planned too, and we're going to be picking the date this week. My family liked to bug me about being such a hard-calver, but it's all the wife's fault. Her Mom had trouble with the large 'craniums' on her and her brother, so it's genetic on their side. I blame it on the German bloodline.  I don't tease much because the father-in-law's 1/2 again as big as me.

O man!

Seriously tho', just don't name them after yourself. Just complictes things, especially if they end up living close to you. We have a family near hear who the grampa, the son and the grandson all have the same name. Sure makes looking up their phone numbers a pain.

We named 2 boys with what might have been names they wouldn't like so we used them for middle names and called them by their middle names. Tate and Chance.

Stupid! Should have just named them Tate and Chance for their first names in the first place, as that is what everyone knows them by. All we did was complicate their lives. Life is just too short.

By the way, our oldest is Tyler cuz the mrs wouldn't let me name him Tyrel. Tyler seemed pretty close. Yup, a Louie fan.

If we would have had a girl she was going to be Brandy. Lucky for us we had boys. Poor girl. Can you hear a gramma being called Brandy?

I am extremely parcial to Benjimen Lee......... Did I tell you I am extremly parcial to Benjimen Lee...

If we had a girl it was going to be named Rebecca.... I like Sara....
Boys names??? please don't name them after a piece of equipment.... cinch, latigo, riggin, jock,

Rebecca was on our short list and if we were to have a second daughter it would be on that short list too.. The family names of women get kind of scary if we go to the non living

Jerusha, Frederika are two that come to mind..

God help us if we have another boy... Maybe we can name him Angus, but only if people will pronounce it will a real heavy scottish accent

I hear our grandson who is supposed to arrive in March will be named Gus. Works for me. :D

What? Not Jinglebob II ? March 18 would be a very good day to have him borne. Did you copy that JB ? March Eighteenth. Right.

I like the names Jedidiah and Rolfe but couldn't get these okayed by mr.nr.
We ended up naming our second son Guy which turned out to be a good choice as there was never another during his school years. It still seems to be rare around here.
