My personal favorites (holding out for my kids....but the "hubby" doesn't want kids so.....I'll share).

Boy:
Logan James

Girl:
Kaylee Mae

noticed a few more "interesting" names at the game last night.......all were very tall, very attractive girls with names that rather suited them

Afton
Aspen
Sage

Pure Country:

Is Brendan a Celtic name? If so, I grew up with a Brendan, and also work with a 4-H kid Brendan. Both a great individuals. Is Brice (or Bryce) Celtic? My dad is Brice.

I like Mrs. Greg's first name, Mairi (not sure how she says it) but it's a really pretty name. And she sure is a nice wonderful gal!

For those with a Celtic spin (if Brendan or Brice truly are) these would get my vote!

I should add in, that at this place, they're so creative at naming stuff. Lazy Ace's brother's dog is "Dog" and she's the second "Dog" they've had. We have a fainting goat (it was here before me, and I have no clue why we have her) named "Goat" and our QH Palamino Stallion, is of course "Yellow."

When my Brother in Law and Sister in Law have had their kids (which they just had #5 after Christmas) I am always afraid that they'll be "Girl" or "Boy," "He" or "She," but they tend to get a little too creative in my opinion. Their names are:

Graylin Gary (G.P.)
Jaden Bret (J.B.)
Code Larry (C.L., but he gets called Code a lot, and CL always reminds me of "Corpus Luteum," from repro class  )
Jessup Worth (J.W.)
and the only girl, Jessa Sue Cashlin (J.C. I guess)

Congrats on the upcoming youngin', and I sure hope that Mom and Baby are safe and healthy when the day comes....

Cheers---

TTB

We were being introduced to a lady one time. She said her name was Joene Noel. I said, "That is a pretty name. How did your mom think of 'Noel' for a middle name?" "No," she said, "My name is Joene, not Jolene. It is Joene with no 'L' ." Okayyyyyy........... :-)

On Garrison Keillor's Prairie Home Companion show, one of the regulars is "Guy Noir" pronounced Guy No-are. Along the same line of thinking, I'm wondering if his name could be Gruy or Gury, if it did have an "r". :?

Mrs Greg...that's exactly what I'm sayin.....MRREEE said like you spelt it...that's the way my mama said Marie(sounded like she left the 'a' out. Unless I was in super big time ultra trouble......then it was a distinct...
MA---RIEEEEEEEEE.....

I thought about calling our first born son, "Shine". Then I could say, "You are my son, Shine, my only son, Shine." Good thing we didn't, because a girl came along and then another son.

We made the mistake of running potential names by both sets of grandparents before the last baby was born. We had pretty much decided upon the name "Brock" if it was a boy. None of the grandparents really jumped for joy over our selection. A couple weeks later, I called my dad from the hospital. I said, "I've got good news and bad news. The good news is that we just had a healthy cute little baby boy. The bad news is that we are going to call him 'Brock' ". They all seemed to learn to like both the kid and the name, and all is well that ends well. :-)

Yeah, that is the conclusion I have come to Soap... The only people that need to know what the kid is going to be named are the parents.. And even than they change their minds a bunch of times anyways after the kid is born..
