Cold here, even in S. Louisiana. :D

Your just spoiled down there

I've got to be honest with you, as much as I like cold weather, it seems the older I get the less tolerance I have for it. Wearing shorts, shirt sleeves, and a straw hat every day seem to be more my style. :?

Our lowest temps are about 60F. :D

Welcome back to Gods Country!!! 8)

Thanks man! Did we ever get that duck hunting report from you? I was talking to a guy this morning who hunts over around Klondike (south of Lake Aruthur) and he was not a happy camper with the season so far.

yeah we about in the same boat. hunted in klondike where our cattle are and didnt kill much. hunted pecan island and they are almost non existent down there. We did well in Grand Chenier but it still aint like last season.

Welcome Back! How'd that kidnapping deal ever turn out?

The last I checked, which would be about 2 weeks ago, there still was no word on his whereabouts or circumstances. There's some talk that his family is in negotiations, but that was pure speculation.

Before I left I sold a group of young bulls to a guy who told me his family had been the victim of a kidnapping at the beginning of the year. I recalled when the news of his son's kidnapping hit the local paper as well as when he was released a couple of months later, but didn't know the fellow at the time so didn't automatically make the connection.

That's two persons with whom I've had direct contact who have also been victims of kidnapping. Don't like the way those numbers are stacking up. :?

My brother told me some guys from his office hunt over on the far west side of the state and that they're killing mallards, wood ducks, and teal. All good eating birds for sure.
