Had a pretty bad scare last night.
My daughter had been outside playing and she came into the house went straight to her room and wouldn't come out.
I could hear her crying so I went to check on her. she told me her tummy hurt. asked if she was hungry, no. Sick, no. Fell down, no. What happened?
She told me that her horse had kicked her in the stomach.
Started checking her over, she said it only hurt right where I could see the hoof imprint. Then she stated that it felt like her tummy was getting filled up. Called the local ER and left.
They sent her by ambulance to the bigger ER for a CT scan.
Luckily it all turned out fine, she has a big briuse, but is fine. we were worried about her liver, but it was fine.
We have had a chat about NOT going around the horses alone. Told me she had the puppies with her, told her they would not protect her. Next time she is to be with myself or Dad around the horses.
Her horse didn't have any shoes on her.
