:roll: Thank you Chiligrl and snakeweed. Bert Ancell is still alive and doing the best he can here at the Bell. He and Jeff where like brothers. It's with a heavy heart that we are doing our best with the whole community here to set up the best farewell for Jeff.

I'd like for you folks at the Bell Ranch to know that we here on Ranchers.net are sorry for your loss. I , like many here , never had the chance to meet either man and have never been to the Bell but we've all lost loved ones tragically. We wish the families and friends there all of Gods best.

We were privileged to meet Jeff many years ago, at a National Cattlemens' convention, visiting briefly. Also knew Mr. and Mrs. Don Hoffman. Once while we visited our dear friend and neighbor of the Bell, Jim O'Connell, Don took us on a nice tour of the Bell and we had lunch with them. It was beautiful, and we were impressed with the way it was managed in sync with the environment.

Losing someone in an accident is so sad, and such a loss to both their families. The brief obituary, and testimony of people here show that they left great legacies of lives lived well in service to family, friends, coworkers and their community and the business world, and of real benefit to many people and interests.

I'm so sorry azcowpuncher I didn't in all my grief and tiredness notice that you where talking about a Burt Ancell not my (Bert Ancell). Please accept my apologies, but I still have never heard of such a person working on the Bell? I think that it is best we just drop the subject?

I first met Jeff in Brighton Colorado at a north american corriente cattle show and roping.He was one of the most down to earth cowboys i have ever met.I was so impressed by his friendliness and Jeff making you feel like you were in the right place being there talking to him. I raise corriente and longhorn cattle for rodeo and roping events in the north Georgia mountains and it was always a pleasure to be around Jeff.And i would like to say my heart and sympathy goes out to be with the Lane family and the hartley family at the time of this tragedy.
