I'm not a big TV fan, but managed to catch the program on CMT with Big and Rich doing a TV concert in Deadwood. I didn't know much about them previous to this, but they are kind of like country music on steriods.
Deadwood sort of adopted these guys, and they adopted Deadwood at the same time. They played a lot of their earlier gigs there, and fell in love with the town, and area.
There was a song that they wrote about a man that is now a bartender in Deadwood, but was once in Vietnam, and had quite a story to tell. He was a paratrooper, and lost a lot of his comrades in a bad skermish. The song is probably called the Eighth Of November, and is quite good.
Anyhow, I would reccomend that you Deadwood buffs try and catch a re-broadcast of it if you can.
