We worked our little bunch on Sunday. Saddle Tramp came up on Saturday and helped Jr and I run some stupid yearlings around and we even managed to rope and doctor several that needed medicine for their poor sore little feet. Stupid yearlings. :x

The boss branding one of his calves. I figure he's the boss seeing as how he owns most of them. Notice his missus in the background, hollering at the rest of us to shape up! lol

The "cowboss". :-) Just got the hat and I finally found one that fit and I hadn't taken the time to re-shape it so I look pretty "buckaroo'y". It looks more like the rest of my hats now!

A good friend I grew up with and neighbor. He's so much like Saddle Tramp to be around, I just knew they would hit it off or plumb hate each other. They never got in a fight so they must have enjoyed each others company. :-) But why wouldn't they, good hands and good fellers.

Two "grissel'd geezers". But damn fine hands!

Optical illusion. Which one is skinnier, Mrs. Jingle Jr or the shovel?

We didn't get any Wrangler butt shots for the ladies, so I hope they will settle for a Levi butt shot. My, he's slender, for a fat old man!

The boss screwed up and let one run plumb thru' his loop, so he's dragging it in by the heels. Rickytavvy has missed a shot trying to pick up the front feet and Saddle Tramp is trying to get one on the head, as it goes by, so as to hace the rope handy to put on the front feet when they stretch him out. Doing it this way, no one is in the way of the crew and the ropers just throw slack and the calf gets up and runs back to the bunch, when he's done being worked.

Middle son and his Mrs., Cutebabymaker. Good help on any occasion! :)

The boss on ol' Blackie and two dang fine hands, workin' together. :-)

Two grandson's and one DIL. Gabe is lettin' his mom help him hold his cousin Gus. Gus doesn't seem too interested in the whole deal. :-)

We mostly run stocker cattle and we just have a few, but it saure is fun to take your time and just enjoy the day, the job and the friends and family.
We had a great day and a good time. Mrs Jingles Jr's Dad and little sis came along as did Cutebabymakers friend, who is a lady disc jockey in Rapid. Kara, is the one who took most of the pictures. She got some real nice shots and I sure appreciate her doing it. It's way more fun to rope and wrestle, but somebody needs to get all this down for posterity! :-) Thanks Kara, Saddle Tramp, Ricytavvy and the kids and grandkids. You all made my day! :-)

You gotta love the shot of the twins! ( Is that what I'm gunna look like after visiting you Jinglebob???) Somethin in the water I should know about?

What a wonderful day you must have had :)

How do you folks stay so clean?(everyone take notice of the nice clean shirts) I walk from the house to the truck and somehow always seem to get all kinds of nasty greeblees all over myself.

Jinglebob, that looked look a mighty fine brandin, plenty good help.............good luck
PS you're lookin like a regular boss man sittin that pony with a new hat :D

Thank yo all. Yup, lots of fun, and Julie, some would think, that yes, buckaroo'y, would need shots. But only thoses who don't appreciate the fine heritage of buckaroo's.

Real good pics! Have you ever thought of putting the ropes away and using calf hooks instead? LOL

We did have alot of fun and a great day to do it  I was just trying not to get in the way most of the time. But it's brandings like this that inspire the poems and songs. Thanks, Pardner , for the hospitality and the fodder for future storys..........Had fun but then again it's pretty hard not to have fun around Jinglebob.
