For you small minded liberals so eager to criticize young people who make a mistake, take responsibility for their actions, and do the right thing......how many years was an attitude (and some actual teaching of) the "if it feels good-do it--with 'protection'" sex education format used, and what happened to the teenage pregnancy rates?

Since some small number of schools have been teaching more responsibility and even some abstinence suggested, birth rates among some teen age groups has dropped.

Where is documentation to be found that the GWB admin. has allowed ONLY abstinence taught as sex ed????

BTW, didn't John McCains former wife indicate that the marriage was as good as over before he met Cindy? With all the liberal demands for mental health care for combat veterans who have NOT been prisoners of war, is it too much to consider that McCain just might have been going through a post traumatic event which caused the breakup of his marriage, rather than being a jerk with a roving eye. He and Bill Clinton are not clones, you know!!!

I had thought about addressing some of the crap posted here. but it seems that for those who posted it. their glee was in how it might hurt Palin.. I can say Bristol didn't ruin her mother's career.. but your actions will tarnish your reputation long after this election is over..

Obama actions and words today on the issue was not only needed, but the concern and sincerity in his voice, and the anger he displayed at the thought of the wrong that was being done, by the ignorance that some in his party had already displayed. I am sure that Sarah Palin has already weighed these consequences. She knew this would happen, but she has courage and has chosen to help the multitudes of people who really need her. Besides, the damage has already been done. This cannot be undone. Carry on, Sarah, the Conservatives are behind you one hundred percent and no one can ever make a Liberal happy anyway.

Even though her daughter "goofed," this should be no reflection on Sarah's abilities. This is a completely different circumstance than that of John Edwards. In his case, he had a pretty good political career going for him. He chose to screw around with a willing schmuck, messing up both his life and the life of the woman involved, not to mention that of his wife and family. This reflects on Mr. Edwards' judgement, and is the number one reason he is not on the Democratic ticket today.

In the case of Sarah Palin's daughter, just because the girl "goofed," it is not Sarah's fault. Sarah herself should not be judged. To the girl's credit, she and her boyfriend plan to get married and make a good life for the unborn child.

Two months ago I thought Obama was a sure winner, now that the real voters have started to think and reason his campaign has begin to faulter.
