Good bloody hot afternoon everyone. Been without internet for a couple weeks since our computer crashed. A couple hundred dollars worth of software and stuff later, and I'm back. At last, I can surf once again; I was starting to get withdrawals.

Don't know about the rest of ya, but it's 97 degrees F here right now, and things are burning up. We had our Hardisty rodeo a couple weeks back, and had some good rains, then the tap's shut off. Nothing but sunny, hot and dry, although there's finally some showers in the forecast for tomorrow.

We've been busy seeding swathgrazing and forage mixes, and getting ready to sort cows into breeding groups. I've got some great pics of the wife and I helping some friends build a straw bale barn last weekend, I just need to reinstall my software for downsizing them, then I'll get 'em posted. Have a good one.

97F ?? - shade temperature that's 36C !! We had our hottest thus far today we got up to 28.5C - long ways from 36C. Toasty none the less.
Was thinking of you last week - one of my passengers directed us on a "shortcut" returning from Lloydminster to Rimbey via Hardisty
Got to see your railway station though. I was surprised how green it still was down your way. Don't you have hoppers there? I remember the guys that seeded swath grazing crops in 2002/3 later in the summer with the droughts - the hoppers never let them get above an inch.

Yep- 97 degrees here today- and just a hot hot burning down on you type sun....Had to sort and pair up and move some cows to another pasture this morning- started at 6AM- and was done -except for doctoring a couple- by 10- but it was already hot....
But the weather boys are saying a chance of moisture moving in tomorrow- and temps for next week in the high 70's :D :D :D

Hoppers have just started to show in the last week or so. Don't seem to be real bad though, but time will tell. We got a decent rain through the night, and there's more in the forecast for tonight and on in the week. Perfect timing for the seeding.
