Hi 48 °F

We've got steady 35mph winds here. Right straight out of the east. Usually whatever yall get there, we get 24 hrs later. Maybe our wind will push your bad weather the other way. I know this wind is sure making the horses goofy.

If you tried to brand here today, your hat would blow off
and you couldn't keep a fire going!!!

P.S. And the wind makes the cooks grumpy...who wants to
brand where the cook is gumpy?

As long as the beer is in plentiful supply I can put up with the grumpy cook

:agree:  :cboy:

If it's too cold for beer (which is hard to imagine  ), good Canadian whiskey and Coke will take everyone's mind off cold AND food
Those pics do look awful cold though.

Windy, chilly day today as we are in the "dry slot" before another batch of moisture is supposed to move back in on us tonight...80% chance of moisture tomorrow and tomorrow night- with chances of thunderstorms or rain all week...

Ended up with 1/2 an inch up on the pasture at the north place- which gives us 3.5 inches for the month of May :D Which is a lot of moisture for this old desert (normal May total is 1.76)... I can't believe how the grass is growing...

Now if this keeps going thru June- our normal wettest month- I'd be plumb tickled... Usually about the time I turn bulls out (first weekend in June) we have a 4-5 day soaker and I have to plow mud getting bulls out...We was hoping to work cows, brand, and move some onto the summer pasture this next weekend- but the branding part may not happen if the rains keep up...So be it- there have been other times we didn't brand til July- just means everyone needs to eat a little more Wheaties....
