Chiangus

Dad says he AIed 11 cows Chi back in the very early '70s. He was told that people were paying a $100 premium on them. He says that fortunately all 11 cows had steers, and working those calves at weaning / shipping time was almost terrifying, they would get frantic and run right over top of you if you were in the way.

I've been on this site for several years and I think this is the first time that everyone has agreed with each other. Personally I think they are awesome cattle.

Especially if they calve in May or June, when the sun is shining and the green grass is swishing in the gentle breeze. :-)

Friends don't let friends buy Chianinas.

Soap.. Your funny!!! :D :D :D :D :D

To be downright honest, this saying was plagiarized from my good friend DeWayne Lancaster when his original comment pertained to Salers. :-)

They had some at our state sponsored bull sale this year that were some of the best bulls in my mind, but they were like 1/16 Chi, so they were basically Angus. But man they were good and stout.

I had the Chi Angus way to long. When the breeders thought 1/8 chi was to much and were registering 1/16 Chi then why have chi and put up with all the problems just go to another breed.

However :) :) lol it is being said if some keep trying to see how small they can get the Angus. OCC will force people to use all his Ildeno semen (fullblod chi) the OCC bull of 1971....what goes around comes around...In 40 years people forget and people under 40 never experienced that crap. But who in the world would dreamed a AI company would have a section of the shortest smallest scotish imports TODAY....the bulls of the 60s that I forgot and never experienced.
