Cool Compromise

Ben, "They don't see the significance in COOL, and why would anyone want extra cost without extra benefits."

Dang, Ben, I'm going to have to agree with part of your statement. There are no benefits TO THEM. But, they know dang well the significance of COOL. The significance to them is that all the ground work they have been laying so they can move beef from anywhere to anywhere globally now has a huge fly in the ointment. Folks might not want to buy what they want to sell them.

Look at who you are believing on COOL.

Watch out there, Ben...I believe you on most these issues!! :D

But on COOL, a lot of my opinion is derived from the consumer's perspective. When I buy fish, I want USA or Canadian...I don't want China or south east Asia. I want to know where my food comes from and I try not to buy much processed food. I also look at it as a marketing tool...I think the consumer should know if that 'USDA inspected' stamp means there is an inspector at the plant every day or once a year!

Every other product has to abide by truth in labeling laws, so should everything on the J-List.
