Kilt right after I got sick. 13ft 6in. Weight. 800 lbs. Bigest kilt in fla that year

Kilt on the wild side of cresent lake, near polatka, which flows into the saint johns river. It was a legal hunt. U have to go by the state rules. Set out bait that is atached to a bouy. Beef lung is best, it floots. Take a boat out amounst them and set the bouys. Go back to the house and sip on some crown, eat somethin like a lowcountry boil. Raize each other about or short comeins and how sorry our dogs are. Maybe hog hunt a little. And checkin them jugs with a spot lite. When one starts to leave, we foller it with the boat. Hook the jug and ease the gator up to git a harpone in him. When he's harponed, it gets good. We then bring him up to hit him with a bang stick. A little short stanless gun on the end of a pole. They give out easy and don't fight long. The big one was a different story. We lost him. He roled up the bouys and we had to find him the next mornin. A buddy had him mounted whole. There trouble some here. Catchin cowdogs comein for a drink and calfs to. A good 22 hornet will reck there day from a distance. And the buzzards enjoy them. There real good to eat under 5ft. Biger one's get a little strong. Every year some body in fla gets kilt by one and its usely a youngin, and the gator has been fed and has lost is fear of people. But a gator on a nest or with littleins, is one to watch. I got some better pics I'll try to post. This one is not so good, but I got some of us with the gator hangin. I'd much ruther deal with a gator than some of them big bears up north. They say they have no quit.

Cowhunter, I was in Florida last November and visited the Okefenokee
Swamp out of Ft. Lauderdale. We went on an airboat and saw some
alligators. We also watched an alligator trainer (westler) and he
said there is no confirmation that alligators attack or kill people.
He said Croc's do, but not alligators. I thought that didn't sound
right at the time...but what do I know?

After reading what you post, I'm sure he was wrong...

The oakyfinonee is the headwaters of the saunwee river. It comes out of georgia. You were down around one of them many rivers in south fla, like the colosahatchee. We got some saltwater crocidiles but plenty of gators. It would not take long on the net to find about plenty of gator attacts in fla, la , alibama, miss south carolina or texas. It happens every year. Its nothin like austreala but we have mishaps with gators regular in the summer. We still swim , fish and enjoy the water. Now we have these exzodics in south fla. Nile lizards and pithones snakes. Bigin's to. Fish from south america like peacock bass, grass carp and armored catfish. Parots and such, livein in miami. We're perty tropical on down south. We got somethin called soda apple in our pastures that's got bad.

He was way wrong.

Back when I was chasing skirts I got to work for one girl's daddy at a Gator Farm for a man named Grant Dunoway over in Felda, Florida.

Even farm raised Gators will defend their nests and themselves, and once they grab hold of you their natural instinct is to start rolling and take you down into deeper water.

Nasty, dangerous vermin.

bart.

Faster horses, I think the gator rasler is the same one that tells people we don't have haricaines? Lol! I can show u some boats that are 20 miles from the water, brought in by storm surge. With gators in them. Lol! Nature takes it course where ever. I'd love to see some of the country up north yall survive in. It would be real scary to me, thinkin about gettin lost and freezein to death. My cajin cowboy buddy from the who dat, do yall run them go devils out there, we see a few. I was thinkin about settin one up on a 12ft airboat hull for my son to redfish out of. What do u think? I'm not quite ready to turn him loose in my 470 yet. 300hp and 17 years don't ad up. 6 more trips to radiation. Don't feel but tird and headakes. The steroids and the oxicodone so far are the worst.

About 10 years ago one pretty March day, my youngest daughter and 2 of her cousins went with me in my boat on a joy ride on the Trinity River about 10 miles east of us. We'd had a cold spell but that day was T-shirt weather while the sun was shining. We video taped I don't know how many gators. If I can figure out a good way to digitize them I'll put them on here by photobucket. We lost count but i know we saw over thirty anywhere from 3 feet up to one ol' hoss that was over 12 feet and probably 30 inches thick. They were all out chargin' their solar batteries after the cold spell.

cowhunter, im running a pro drive and a gator tail boat. i have one setup for bowfishing and sight fishing reds and the other is set up for hunting. i have these becasue they are the only ones that come with reverse.

cmon now, if hes 17 and responsible, he can handle that 470. my dad had a 350 z4 out of a corvette pushing 425 hp that i would drive all over the swamp at 15. just gotta know youve taught them right and he'll take care of the rest. prayers sent to you also bud.

The one thing this boy is not confident in is drivein a sled. He's goow with a kicker boat but just aint never got the feal for powerin in a slide. He'll get there. The go devils would be nice with a little trany. I got a nice little airboat hull. And a stanless seat package. It make a good fishin/gigin rig for us the could come home in low tide. Might try it.
