That reminds me of back in the 80's when we had a freeze like this coming. We went duck hunting and the duck landing on the froze pond and sliding across the pond. I was laughting so hard I could shoot. The pond had ice about 8 inches thick. I was riding my 4 wheeler across it. But I was teenager then 10 feet tall and bullet proof.

My dear Peach of a wife called me the other day from her cell phone. She asked if I thought she could cross SB Lake with her pickup and two bales of hay, since it would be a lot smoother and save over over a mile of traveling. She was dead serious, and I was just as serious when I said, "Please, please don't, but thank you very much for calling before you just did it." All is well that ends well, and at least we don't have a pickup with two bales of hay that fell through the ice into the lake. :-)
