I might, but they would Cost you a lot of money!!! :pretty: :pretty:

This brings up another subject
I have an Old collection of Polaroid Photo's that NO One has ever seen (except some of the ladies pictured there)
[What Happen Here Stays Here]

Have any of you seen the movie "Play Misty For Me" After 2 years with this one woman we broke-up. Among many other thing (Yes even the knife scena) SHE went around telling everyone I had these Photo's and my place was broke-in-to several times but Photos were safe in a Lock-Box under Bales-of-Hay. I offered the photos of her to her several times but she chose not to take them.

Four weeks after our break-up she Married my best friend. A week or so later my, by then, X friend (His Choice) Demanded the Photos.

I told him what was between her and I stayed between Her and I but SHE could have the Photo anytime she wanted them. He had size and reach on me but I had that INDIAN sign on him.

How would you handle this? What would you say or tell him?

Right or Wrong here is What I Did/Said

You and you wife meet me Saturday night at the Red Barn.
[The local watering hole]
You all Sit at One of the Bar and I'll set at the other end and pass them down to you one at a time.

That was the last time the subject came up.

Note:
I have never been asked for an original back but in these times of Scanners and Computers…

Some of the ladies have Copies

OD, maybe a more pertinent title for this thread would be WHY would I post this? Like JF says, destroy those photos pronto, like yesterday.

Grow up and show some respect for the lady and your friend. As a father maybe you should think about what your reaction would be if some guy had some pictures like this of your daughter and threatened to show them to the bar crowd!?!?

Geez, I still don't believe this post!!!! I'm not a forum moderator and have always believed in sparing use of the delete button on these forums. But I gotta say IMO this is certainly one thread that deserves the ax.

I guess after reading shortgrass's post right before reading this puts it in another perspective. How many of you thought maybe he was honestly asking for advice? So what do yall do ........call him names, boy that is using discretion.
I hope some of you learned as much as I did and will be putting the lesson to use.

Old Dog you know what you should do. You will feel better once you have done the right thing. :D

SS, I also read the Sunday post Shortgrass made just before I read this one. I didn't call OD any names. I don't think OD was honestly asking for advice this long after the fact. Surely he knew all along what the right thing to do was but did not exercise that discretion of either properly disposing of the photos himself or handing them over to her in a manner that protects her privacy.

Yes, let's talk about discretion! What happened to the "What Happens Here Stays Here" policy OD stated early in his post? That would be true discretion, but was totally absent in his proposed solution.

I don't have a problem with OD having the pics if he kept them to himself or gave them to her. But OD's stated intention to get the pics back to the lady via the bar crowd instead of destroying them or turning them over to the lady in the mail or in a private setting shows to me he was doing what he did out of spite. What good could come of humiliating her and her husband in front of the bar crowd?

Edit: If OD is sincere about wanting some advice here goes FWIW: The best solution I can think of is to send the photos in a plain envelope to the lady via certified mail so she has to sign for them herself. In this situation the extra cost of certified/registered mail is worth it to you. That way you will know her husband does not get to the pics before she does. What she does with them after they come into her possession is her business.

I agree with you in passing them via the bar crowd that is just being mean spirited and vindictive. We all say things and say we are going to do things we have NO intention of ever doing just to vent. Sometimes just saying we are going to do something helps get the anger, fear, frustration out of our system. Sometimes its a call for help in dealing with something or someone.
I did not mean ALL post to him were name calling ...yall means more than one but NOT all. ("all of yall "mean everyone LOL ) yeah us southerners are weird.
Sending the photos via mail is a good idea but as he said in this day of scanners there could be more copies but my question is if these were done by consenting adults while they were seeing each other then why would the now husband get upset? I think when adults share intimate feelings and actions those should be respected and left where they were and not brought out on main street for all to judge. To "tell all" just to get back at someone belittles you not them. It also shows how vindictive you really are and others see it.
I am trying to give ALL the benefit of doubt in that they are doing/saying whatever with good intentions and of an honest heart.
I am sorry if you felt I was grouping you into the name calling.

:? I don't find this thread humorous at all,I'm assuming the ladys"mistakenly" posed for these, why I have NO idea...no respect for themselfs is my thought. Get RID of them its been HOW many years,I'm sure none of these gals are too impressed or would be impressed to know you still have them.As for passing then down a bar....NOT FUNNY AT ALL

Some of those gals might be plumb flattered to see how they looked way back when.

Mrs.you know who wouldn't have posed for them in the first place, but if she had she would be horrified to know he still has them.

I agree. At least the gal was smart enough to marry someone else. Kinda nauseating that a teenage girls joke was used as the springboard.

Reads like this guy is wanting attention to HIMSELF & using the pics to do so...maybe feeling a little leftout cause this woman married another??????

Call her up & meet with her.....take the pics with you and give them back to her and hopefully she'll be within reaching distance to slap the snot out of you for trying such a stunt!

At her husbands begging, cousin posed for photos--which he tried to use at the divorce process to prove she was an unfit mother...didn't work well.

Are we sure this person isn't" Hill"trying to stir muck up??
