Why is it when you have to wake up early you can' sleep? Grrr..
I can always sleep when I have to get up early..... Its just that it takes a long time to get to sleep, then I wake up every half hour wondering if it is time to get up, and then when it is time to get up, I'm sound asleep!

Don't think I slept DJL... Maybe for 30 minutes total.. Going to be a long day.. I'm sure when I et back I'll take a nap.. Might be a 5 hour nap at this rate.

What an Angel you have there. Horses are a wonderful thing for a child. My daughter just started riding again recently she is 7. Finally found her a safe mount that I could trust. We started her on a pony 2 years ago who scared the you know what out of her( bucked her off a few times) but she is going nicely now. We looked everywhere for a new horse for her and found the one for her right under our noses. She is one of our old broodmares that had exp working cows that we didn't know about till recently. They are a great team.

Here's to many more fun rides for your daughter :)

IL, I would be willing to bet that it is still smaller than mine :) You've seen weebles before right :) Mine is not as shiny though so you win in that department!

You didnt sleep at all last night, everything OK? I'm sure it's fine, us chronic worriers have to stick together you know :) I still can not get over how cute your daughter is :) If you are still thinking about selling one she is the keeper :) or put a high price tag on her

hey il
that is one darling looking little angel
you have there
i bet she has you wrapped around her little finger
"just like my 3 year old girl does"
it's great that you got her on horse young
before my little girl was even born i got a nice colt in trade for riding some others and then found out she was coming and the colt was very gentle so we kept him for her and now she can ride him some what by herself
did the same thing for our son when we found out he was coming
i belive in getting them started young and let them ride all you can
until later

Judith.. Just couldn't fall asleep.. I don't think I was worrying about anything (the usual reason for me not to sleep) but couldn't fall asleep. Got back around 8:45 and hopped into bed and was asleep by 9:30 and just woke up so I got three hours to tie me through till tonight..

Hmm, is the girl for sale, boy would probably bring a better price, and all but I think we will keep them both for now.. We will let her ride the rest of the summer and the warmer parts of fall. I don't know if she will ride in the winter as it gets harder that time of year but maybe.. We are hunting for a pony for her to have.. By pony I mean a POA or quarter pony but we will wait on getting on until we know she is ready/willing for riding more often.. Than I will have to see if JB can make a kids saddle with a pink seat

Jinglebob can make you one with a pink seat! I've seen em before so he should be able to no problemo. Just a word of warning though, the other cowboys will laugh at you :P

(Judith hobbles out of the room, really quik :)

THINK REALLY REALLY HARD KOLA...... Ha HA HAHAHAHAHAHAH!!! ( Good grief I have a dirty mind......bad Judith  )

My niece[27] has a saddle with a pink seat...greg REFUSES to help her put it on,says its a matter of principal....

Shrug, no problem with pink here.. My daughter is a bit obsessed with it (She wanted to wear her pink jeans but wit the pink shirt, pink helmet, pink boot tops well.. I thought it was a bit much   And of course Dad buys here the pink stuff because he knows that is what she wants (I tried real hard for a long time to keep evrything geneder neutrel as far as color but the girl is a pink girl, no question about it)... As far as a pink saddle, I don't think I would get one for her as of yet but that is just me.... Especially since she asn't asked yet, lol...

what about pink chinks JB

OK. what is the purpose of the fringe on chinks? The tradition of why they are fringed? FOr me it would just be one more thing to get tangled in I would think. I'm going to get the skin tight chaps with nothing on at all so that I can help at brandings but not get tied up to anyone  I've see how Jingles holds the iron so I think regular jeans could get your leg caught on fire!!!!

Not a problem. Last ones I made that were pink were chinks. Metallic pink. Made a matching vest too. Said she was gopingh to wear the vest, chinks and matching pink g string for her husband. And nuthing else.

Hey, more info than I needed!

I got no problem with pink. I have a pink shirt that was on sale and a red/white stripped shirt that everyone says is pink.

When I first started doing my laudry, you'd be surprized at all the pink clothes I ended up from washing my red shirts with other things!

Pink is just not the proper color for a saddle. If it's an inlaid seat or padded seat, I ain't going to build it anyway.

Skin tight chaps are fine judith bt please, please wear pants with them     Think of the poor critters with your pasty white posterior exposed, you could blind some folks

Just leave the branding to the pro's there, little city girl. :P

Fringe was excess leather. Cut into fringe, it helps to wick away moiture. No sense cutting good leather off.

'Sides, it just looks so cool. Swishing helps keep the flies back also. :D
