Was at the hospital from 830 till 1230, gettin a mri and cat scan. Then check on my cows with a buddy. Some of them are drawin up a little bit but there not askin for nothin yet. I've feed narry a bale as of yet. Just mineral with cotton seed meal and salt and plenty of washy grass. Frost bit washy to. They don't like washy much in the summer. Twice a summer, it grows a little stem and flowers. It must be more than belly fotter. You know that washy, it's steddly tryin to green up, so I have all ideay's we will make it till spring.

There;s a group of Fleckvieh heifers running just north of me haven't been fed all winter-running on hay aftermath-they look darn good too.

There's a lot of planted pine timber. Before it makes a canopy, sometimes grass gets real thick under it. Pine sap drips on it and some cattle will starve before they eat it. Scrub cattle will eat it when they have ate everything else. I guess its kind of a trade off.
